A holiday to Lewis and Harris isn’t just a relaxing break, it can be a magical journey into the past. There are lots of ancient landmarks, with the world famous Callanish Standing Stones within sight of your cabin. Lots of the other main attractions such as the Carloway Broch, Gearrannan Black House Village, the Norse Mill in Shawbost and Arnol Black House, are all within a 10 to 15 minute drive from our cabins. Take a day trip to Harris and relax on Luskentyre beach, then follow the Golden Road and visit St Clements Church and finish off with a tour the Harris distillery where you can try their fantastic Harris Gin. There are many other attractions dotted around Lewis and Harris and around nearly every corner is a beautiful white sandy Beach. The map below shows just how many places there are to explore, and you can easily spend a week visiting the main attractions of Lewis and Harris.

Events, Boat Trips & Fishing

There are many events throughout the year in Lewis and Harris. From traditional ceilidhs to music and culture festivals such as the world famous Hebridean Celtic Festival, to the many local highland games events and shows around the island. Several boat tours are now operating in Lewis and Harris, letting you explore deserted islands and lagoon’s. Go Sea Fishing, or take a day trip to the spectacular UNESCO World heritage site St Kilda. Boat trips are available with Sea Trek in Uig, Stornoway seafari and Hebrides Fishntrips. All just a short 20-30 minute drive from your cabin. As well as sea fishing, Lewis and Harris have excellent Salmon and Trout fishing available.
